MPD’s part number “BH28DL” is a battery holder that accepts six D-cell batteries in a series configuration with an output of 12 volts when using standard alkaline cells.  The holder is made from black polypropylene offering good stiffness, heat resistant, homopolymer and is rated for food contact. The BH28DL has a UL94-HB flammability rating, and a temperature range of -10°C to +100°C. The spring contacts are nickel-plated spring steel, brass eyelets with nickel plating. Easily attach wires to the two solder eyelets with 1.4 mm Dia. openings for common hook up wire. It is also RoHS 2 compliant for worldwide distribution and meets worldwide standards, guaranteeing quality. D cell’s are also called UM-1 batteries, R20, ANSI/NEDA 13A carbon zinc batteries and alkaline numbers  LR20, ANSI/NEDA 13D  and also common rechargeable batteries. The BH4DL uses 4-40 machine screws or eyelets for mounting purposes. Also adhesive and double sided tapes work well.
